Caring For Kids Right Here In Your Community
For many of us, the arrival of cooler weather means cozy sweaters and hot cocoa. But for a child in need right here in our Madison and Guilford communities, dropping temperatures can mean a long, uncomfortable, and even dangerous winter.
No child should ever have to go to school shivering in a thin jacket or miss a bus because they're not dressed for the cold. The reality is that each year we know some of our neighbors struggle to meet this and other basic needs.
This is why we are so passionate about our program called Warm The Children. For years, this incredible program has been making a direct impact by providing new winter coats, hats, gloves, clothing and footwear to local children who need it most.
How does it work? It's simple, direct, and incredibly effective:
- 100% of your donation goes directly to buying brand-new winter clothing for a local child. There are no administrative fees taken from your contribution.
- We work with local social service agencies to identify children in need, ensuring our help goes to the families who will benefit the most.
- Volunteer shoppers from our clubs meet with families at a local store and personally help them select the warm clothing and footwear they need. It’s a hands-on process that brings joy and dignity to everyone involved.
Right now, as we get ready for the colder months ahead, we have a long list of children in Madison and Guilford who are counting on us. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to ensure every child on that list has the warm clothing they need to face the winter with confidence.
