Westerville and other Central Ohio communities today accepted the recommendation from the Central Ohio Mayors and Managers Association (COMMA) and Franklin County Township Association (FCTA) to cancel group activities and fireworks for July 4, 2020.
The Rotary Club of Westerville is working closely with the City of Westerville to consider if a celebration later in the year is feasible, said Tom Shaver, 2019-2020 Club President.
Future event opportunities will be announced here and on the city website, Westerville.org.
Due to concerns over the possible spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the city plans to recognize Independence Day on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis on Saturday, July 4th. Details will be announced.
